A quick recipe! Easy to make.

Contrary to popular belief, this blog isn’t just about reviewing feminine and womanly products. It’s a general blog FOR women. This is why I’m putting up this quick and easy recipe. If you have kids, they’ll most likely love this. My cousins and I grew up eating this, and our working mothers were happy to make it because it was fast!

It made them happy, it made us happy, and it’s sure to make YOU happy.

Even if you don’t have kids, you’ll still love this quick and simple meal. After a grueling day at work, you’ll appreciate something that’s cheap to get, quick to make and delicious to eat.

You just take one pound of pasta or spaghetti and dump it into a pot of boiling water. Make sure the boiling water has a table spoon of olive oil in it. This is to make sure the pasta doesn’t stick when it’s drained.

To make this a little more healthy, you can use whole wheat pasta. I personally like whole wheat pasta better than white flour pasta. Whole wheat pasta fills you up faster, doesn’t make you tired like white flour pasta does, and it keeps you fuller longer.

Cook the pasta until it’s just about how you like it - or read the directions on the box if you don’t know how long you should cook it for.

I cook my whole wheat pasta for about seven minutes, give or take. I like my pasta al dente.

Remember: Pasta continues to cook even after you strain it.

Then strain the pasta and put as much of it as you want for you or your kids in a bowl, and put on the grated cheese!

Viola. You’re done!

Some people also like to put all of the pasta back in the pot it cooked in or in a big bowl and mix a little bit of butter or margarine on it to make the grated cheese stick better. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don’t. It’s really just a judgment call.

Whenever I make it now for myself lately I haven’t been putting it on at all. I like it better without the butter or margarine to be honest. But like I said, it’s up to you.

By the way, as for the cheese, I personally like 4C’s Parmesan and Romano cheese mix. It doesn’t have the weird after taste that Kraft’s grated cheese does. It’s 100% imported from Italy, so you know that it’s good.

Of course, for the purists, freshly grated cheese works just as well.

Febreze Fabric Refresher Review.

I am usually VERY against harsh chemicals masked as fresh air products being sprayed around a home. Who needs that around your pets, children and guests? Luckily though, Febreze Fabric Refresher doesn’t seem like a harsh or heavy chemical at all!

Febreze is completely light and airy, and in all of my time using or being around this product, it hasn’t once given me a bad reaction. Febreze is also good for a quick fixer-upper. Have important company coming over and haven’t had the time to clean heavy duty? We’ve all been there. In-laws coming to town or an important business meeting in your home, and all the while being self conscious about your house but having no time to clean outside of just straightening up. The solution is simple! Just lightly spray Febreze Fabric Refresher over fabrics like your couch, recliner, or even just the air and your home smells nice and clean! Viola, perfect, clean and fresh smelling!

“Design” by Paul Sebastion is one of the few perfumes that I actually really like. It’s a very feminine perfume that smells really clean and fresh and makes a woman feel like a lady. Design is one of the few perfumes I’ll actually go back to time and again. Very classic smell. It’s a little bit more expensive than most perfumes, having retail price of $48.00 for a 3.4 oz bottle, but it’s worth every last cent

A new layout!

There’s a really cute new layout for this blog done by the VERY talented Angela. The layout you see now is NOT how this layout started out as. It was actually hideous before, believe it or not. To see how this layout originally looked, go look at the test themes page: Pink Orchid 1.2 by William Berg. As you can all see, this current revamped theme is A LOT better than how it originally looked and also a lot better than the old Padangan theme this blog FIRST had up.

It’s a lot more feminine and matches what this blog is about. Being a woman. I’m going to feel a lot more comfortable blogging on here now with this perfect girly Wordpress theme up on this blog!

Nair: Hair Removal.

Nair is a harsh chemical that no woman should ever use in my opinion. Nair always, without fail, leaves my legs feeling dry (even the Nair with aloe in it, which I used last time) and gives me a harsh reaction every time. This might sound gross but sometimes my legs even feel itchy after using Nair and the product also leaves little red bumps on my legs. NAIR ISN’T WORTH USING. Just whip out an old fashioned razor and shave your legs.

At least they got that funky, rotten egg smell Nair used to have under control. But even that fact doesn’t make Nair worth it. Also, like the Veet Hair Removal Mousse, Nair is messy.

It isn’t worth it ladies. Leave this product alone.

Aussie Shampoo: Strong Hold & Touchable Soft Hair

Do you have flat hair, that could use a little extra boost? Then I suggest looking into “Aussie Awesome Volume Shampoo”. Even though there are more of Aussie’s Shampoo products, I found this to be my favorite one. Not only does it get your hair nice and clean, but it also adds a little bit of volume to your hair. It does exactly what it says — as Aussie Products usually do. Perfect for people who need it. ALSO! Aussie’s Shampoo products smell GREAT. That is a definite plus for me.

Avon Dew Kiss Lip Dew

I tried this lip balm because I have the worst dry lips ever. I have tried everything, and nothing seemed to work. Until now. This product is amazing. It moisturizes your lips all day and even through the night. No more dry flaky lips for me! And the greatest thing about it is it costs less than a buck! I’ve tried lip balms that were 5 or 10 times more expensive and didn’t get results like this. I’m totally impressed.

The only thing I can say that I don’t like about this lip balm is the flavor and smell aren’t nearly as pleasant as say.. chapstick. It’s not gross or anything, it’s just not as good in that department. Small beans compared to how well it works though. This product has definitely won my vote!

Gillette Venus Razor

This Venus razor is basically the best razor I can remember ever using. It has 3 blades, which means you get a closer shave. It also leaves your skin feeling really smooth. Also, I usually end up with slight razor burn from any razor I use, but not this one. I haven’t had a single bit of razor burn at all. It has a moisturizing strip, like most other razors, but this one actually seems to work. The only problem I have with these blades, to be honest, is the fact that they cost roughly $10 for a pack of 4. That’s kind of pricey, but it’s still worth it.
